Hey, it’s Rick, great to have you here and thanks for checking out my blog.

I created this space for fellow creative entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs who want to improve their career and lifestyle without sacrificing one for the other.

The purpose of this blog is to help you learn, practice and improve the most important skills you’ll need as a creative entrepreneur and intrapreneur: metaskills. 

A meta-skill is a master skill that magnifies and activates other skills. A meta-skill is a high order skill that allows you to engage with functional expertise more effectively. It’s a catalyst for learning and building new skills faster.”

The main meta-skills I read and write about are:

• Emotional Intelligence – Self-awareness, Empathy, Intuition
• Creativity – Innovation, Problem Solving, Decision Making
• Mindset – Resilience, Growth Mindset, Self-confidence

I spent the last decade working as a creative, I’ve learned many skills along the way, but those that proved the most invaluable and boosted my results by far are meta-skills. I’ve decided to share my past and current learnings with my tribe of creators and knowledge workers like you.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, designer, programmer, artist, or all of the above and you’re looking to eliminate career burnout and unlock your true potential, you’ll feel right at home here.

This blog is not for the conventional, for those who are risk adverse or for those who don’t like change. This blog is for those who somewhat fit the following descriptions:

• You don’t subscribe to the hustle culture of 21st century and you have hope that you can achieve your goals in a smarter, more sustainable fashion.
• You get paid based on your ability to use your brain to solve problems, make decisions and be creative (entrepreneurs, designers, programmers, etc.)
• You look forward to a future where you can make a difference.

Who am I?

I’m an entrepreneur, writer and lifestyle designer. I’ve been working as a Digital Product Designer and Researcher for small and big startups alike (Zoopla, uSwitch and Money in the UK), and behemoth companies like Toyota.

Here are 7 facts about me:

1. I’m from a small town in the province of a city called Vicenza, Italy
2. I dropped out of high school after failing classes for 4 times
3. I taught myself every skill I know
4. My professional career took off when I moved to the UK
5. I’m married to a beautiful Italian woman and proud father of our son
6. I like lifting heavy things over my head
7. I’m obsessed with reading and self-improvement

I have a lot of interests and I’m a perpetual learner, one of these days I will make a proper about me page to talk about those.
